Ghouls Beware: Holywatr Will GET You With Their Newest Single, “green room”
Rapidly growing alternative metal band Holywatr just released their latest single “green room” on August 28, 2026.
This track captures a hot and heavy narrative of sex in a green room at a concert, spicy but quiet, tiptoeing around the possibility of others hearing what’s going on. It delivers this musically with atmospheric instrumentation and softer verses that contrast with and pull out a heavier instrumental chorus. It teeters on the line between being soft and powerful, and the instrumental intro ushers things in with an ominous undertone, which plays into the overall vibe of the band. One thing that stands out is that the intro is a soft instrumental, and the outro is super heavy. Doing so pulls out the narrative of “green room” with perfect bookends. That moment in the room: the softness of needing to quietly tiptoe around others finding out this secret link, to the heavy excitement of the taboo. It’s interesting how even the music seems to pull out the ideas that are explored in the lyricism.
One thing this track does right is the mix of synths and instrumentation. The synths are the core of the atmospheric vibe of this track. The instrumentation in the intro of this single is the perfect building block. Because of their softness, they provide the perfect baseline for the heavier instrumentation to deliver all the hits that it needs to.
