“Stressed Out” is a new single, released July 23, by New Mexico alternative band, Savings. This single is a tribute to the band’s growth after their two year hiatus. This song is perfect for fans of bands like Catfish and The Bottleman, Wallows, and other indie/alternative bands of the 2010-2020s! A catchy beat and meaningful mix of emotions throughout the lyrics of this track will keep listeners engaged. To come back from a long break can put the pressure onto creating new content for artists, but the craft itself, of creating, is a gift. Savings showed their gift of creativity and talent in this new single. “Stressed Out” is the perfect track for the summer to fall seasons transitioning. It’s not often when a song sounds like it could be from an indie film soundtrack, but this track definitely belongs in becoming of age film. These lyrics in particular stood out—“ it’s not the end if you’re still searching for it”. Searching for something leaves the door open for it to come back in. If a door must be shut, then the search must be over too. On the flip side, if there’s no searching in sight to get better, then, there’s no room for growth left either. Savings accounts for the “Stressed Out” folk, going through the motions of life to simply keep going. Something as simple as living doesn’t feel so simple a lot of the time and Savings honors the simplicity of nostalgia within the frustrations of life moving forward beautifully in their new single. “Stressed Out” by Savings is available to the public on July 23 via Graveboy records and available to stream everywhere!
